And world wide, only 114,344 are or were infected.
the percentage of those infected are

world: 0.000015%
and
China: 0.000056%

4,025 deaths so far, which means world wide, you currently have a 0.000000518% chance of catching and dying from this.

Thats like 1 person in every 1,930,389 people that will actually perish from this virus.

I've got higher odds of getting struck by lightning or shot by a drug dealer.
There you go, even better

The scare has a life of it's own. Today at the store, mils lined up 10 deep with huge amounts of tp.

This has been a disconcerting look at humanity. Markets crashing. The entire economic landscape being compromised. Stores are being cleaned out by panicked shoppers over a virus that literally amounts to a cold. Not even the flu...’cold like’ symptoms. People (families) who actually need some of these things can’t even find these supplies in stores anymore. Fist fights breaking out over toilet paper smh. God help us if an actual serious epidemic ever hits. It’s certainly been eye opening for me.

Ad revenue, clicks, the vast availability of information has been the catalyst of this “pandemic”. Any scary headline will drive the masses into a frenzy because they just assume if it’s published it’s facts. The uninformed have ran it into the dirt and we’ve got to suffer for a little bit. Big Election Day tomorrow, so things will trend up until Monday again when they run out of big headlines about the Dems.

That's what I keep thinking. This has just been unreal. Imagine is Ebola or something that's actually terrible was spreading. Omg

Charles MacKay wrote about this more than 150 years ago in three volumes … Memoirs of Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds.
Man has overreacted many times in the past and will continue to do so in the future. Especially over things we have no control over.

It's not the coronavirus that's the problem; it's the media whipping the masses into panic. They basically yelled 'fire' in the world's economic theater. There is no reasoning that can be done with panicked mobs.

No, not as long as you don't use the family Radio Flyer red wagon.
