Bailout - Deal has been agreed upon.

Let’s say Skywest gets relief, but their legacy partners shut down 70% of their flying... in that sense, seems like a wasted grant that will be blown through in a matter of months. So, it sucks, but I suppose it makes sense that regional airlines flying under contracts won’t receive aid considering their operation is more or less controlled by a mainline partner. The details will be interesting to see. But that’s my thought process.

Hopefully there is. If not they could just give the junior guys 1 hour lines to stay at home and say they didn’t lay anyone off.

Also need to look at the actual definition of a regional and major airline. Airlines, such as SkyWest and Republic are considered major airlines by the DOT because they take in at least $1 billion in revenue per year.

CBAs remain intact even though BR in this deal. So whats your gaurantee? You will get that unless you take a stay at home for this much $ deal.

Swing and a miss. Nancy Pelosi is holding the American people hostage now.
Senate finally comes to a bipartisan agreement, but the house is going to cause further delays.
Unemployment claims are up in unprecedented numbers, suicide calls are up 40% and they're trying to use the crisis as a way to shoehorn in stuff that has nothing to do with keeping the average American employed. In fact they're interested in carbon emissions restrictions which would probably hurt the airlines. Now is not the time to worry about that.

What I've read is furloughed pilots, or anyone else laid off as a result of the virus can draw up to $600/week in Federal Unemployment in addition to their state unemployment for a least 4 months. Not allowed to make more than your previous salary. Also, they're hoping to get stimulus payments out by April 6th although they may not make that date. $1200/adult and $500/child. Family of 4 (2/2) gets $3400. Gets reduced if you make more than $75K/single or $150K/married AGI.
So somewhere around $3000 per month depending on state maximum unemployment. Big pay cut for many Pilots but at least it's something. Texas is $454/week for 26 weeks so $1054/week combined. IL is $471, GA is $330. When I was furloughed at USAir back in the 90's I drew unemployment based on Corporate HQ, not where I lived. I think you can take which one is higher, residence state or HQ, but I'm not sure about that.
