Furlough ideas (not jobs)

BTW, in all seriousness, call your buddies and check in. Your buddies may need to hear that they are needed and have your ear if things are rough for them. My circle just lost an amazing guy with a little boy and a great future at a legacy. Every one is in shock. Permanent solutions to temporary problems are devastating. Reach out!

Ya had me until the transmission. Only time I prefer a slush box is in Bay Aera traffic. For fun driving I definitely prefer the oil’ standard trans. I bought myself a finally out of f-ing bankruptcy present and always intended on doing 66. (Too many hobbies, too little time). I ain’t gonna hate on AT-6D for wanting to do it on a bike. I’m just more of a car guy.
Also, being a hunting or fishing guide in AK would be grand.

As part of my mea culpa, I present the following option, which I would so be all over applying to sans kids...

Good luck.

Master's or PhD. Get a degree in something that you like (assuming money is nl object).
Another idea:
Chart the changing ranges of fungi and insects as agricultural practices change in the US. Use decent GIS to make rhis info accessible. Publish it for free to support the research of others.
Final Idea:
Talk to women (or men) at bars about your newfound interest in mapping insect ranges and charting fungi. Bring maps to share. See who sticks around and is genuinely interested.

You'd be surprised how many would go along. They'd think they were being pranked and will end up on reality TV.

My brother retires as a widebody FO in September and I was hoping to bepop around the world with him until then, but it looks like the lockdowns in Europe are quashing that. He has Paris turns this month, but they want you to lock down for two weeks after arriving. I had visions of backpacking around Europe, something I hoped to do after college, but the Army had other plans.
Building a kayak. It's helped with my sanity. Now I can be frustrated about resin curing, aligning seems, sanding out drips and such.

Furlough idea - start getting to know the local EAA builder group, offer to help someone squeeze rivets or whatever, so when someday you actually ARE rich and privileged you already have a head-start on that quickbuild RV-14 I've been looking at. I mean that you've been looking at. Stupid autocorrect.
Also, regarding convertible corvettes... The 2020 only comes with a dual clutch 8 speed semi-auto manumatic paddlewhacker, but the "convertible" is a nifty looking retracting hardtop. That would be special, most certainly it would NOT be a Miata. I'd feel pretty awesome driving my convertible 2020 vette to my hangar to build my RV-14. I mean you'd, your, your, your. Stupid phone.
