Default MAX test flights

Two recent flights by Boeing. Promising for return to service in the next few months?

It was such a behind the scenes nightmare with the emails that became public and Boeing basically self-certifying the plane. Then it turned into a political scene, and now a part of me wonders if it is getting delayed so Boeing can avoid having half the world cancel their orders due to economic/travel demand problems.

I think they actually want to get it certified asap... the sooner that's done, the sooner people will forget about it.

Also this would be a good time to start running under-utilized max pilots through their extra sim training.

SWA plans to start running everyone through beginning in Aug and have everyone done in just over 90 days. They have 9 MAX sims, so that helps.

The "extra sim training" (for Southwest, anyway) is a 2- hr session per pilot.

Still takes a pilot off line for typically two days. So definitely helpful to get it done during covid.
