Like it or not the vast majority of pilots support age 67.

I think you’re confused on what the term vast majority means. It’s okay. Getting old is hard. Enjoy your retirement.

That's not how any of this works.

I'm part of that "vast majority". I thought our generation was the one supposed to complain about young kids not being able to do math/know words.

Even when you totally disregard the "maybe" in the options, you get a plurality of 47% in favor of increasing, and 32% dead set against. That leaves 20% whose opinion we have no idea about, but because the way the question was framed could all be on favor of going back to age 60, leading to a majority of 52% against raising the age.

I'm in favor of raising the age, for purely selfish reasons. I am also in favor of a first class medical that actually tests for physical and mental health, and cognitive abilities.

You have got to be kidding me. Maybe 68 is for 68 or higher other is for higher than 68 or getting rid of madetory all together. Like it or not a non pilot ( thank God) will be heading the FAA . Im sure he grew up with his fair share of blatant discrimination. 67/68 is now a done deal and all the ALPA foot stomping won't change that fact. He was put there to FIX it after pilots jacked it up. I wish him well. FAA reauthorization will bump up the age and maybe the airlines can then execute on their growth plans. Don't worry little boy you will still be able to wear your little captains hat someday.

BTW remarried someone with a hell of a lot more assets than your typical pilot so please don't feel for me haha 😆

What's his name? (Not that there's anything wrong with that).

Not that old and probably healthier than 90% of those working. Nice to see a non pilot heading the FAA. Maybe now the US carriers can take full advantage of the post pandemic global meltdown and grab market share. Any stagnation won't be the result of bumping up the age a few years but ALPAs short sighted nonsense of opposing it. If ALPA supported it today you would see a massive vacancy bid shortly to follow. But instead airlines are drawing down their schedules not because they want to but because they have to. Again ALPA is so out of touch its frightening. ALPA is no friend of the line pilots right now. They forward crapy TAs and promote US carrier stagnation. If ever their was a better time for US carriers to expand its now and ALPA keeps stepping in it.

And this is the reason I want a medical with cognitive reasoning tests. #facepalm. If you had actually read my post before starting that unhinged rant, you would see the only thing I really said was that you used majority instead of plurality based on some questionable statistics.
