The pendulum may have swung a little too far on this, but l don’t see the catastrophe others seem to here…it’s simple.
I (and maybe you) call my mom and dad “Mom and Dad.” But someone else may have been raised by grandpa, an uncle, be fostered, big sis, or may have two moms, two dads, or whatever. All this says is be sensitive to that and don’t push people away with language choices.
Similarly, forcing “Merry Christmas” on Jewish colleagues isn’t ill-intended at all, but often has a deleterious effect that doesn’t foster cohesion, but instead accents differences.
I remember when “women in combat roles” was going to bring down the services. I remember when “letting gays in” (in fact many had admirably served entire careers) was going to kill our military. Blah blah blah.
Soldiers, sailors, Marines and airmen fight and die for their buddy serving with them. And when it works, our system can make best buddies of an Alabama boy who’s dad is a Klansman and an inner-city Oakland kid. It’ll all work out, folks, just be kind to each other and accepting of people different than you are.

Simple things like saying “Hello everyone” instead of “ladies and gentlemen” help us all be more inclusive.

Ana Navarro didn't vote for Trump twice. I did. In fact, I've only voted for 2 democrats in my life (Bill Clinton and Obama). But I don't owe some anonymous person on the internet an explanation, especially a troll who calls himself "straight cash homie" lol.
A big part of what's broken in this country is that you can't say "live and let live" without being called a libbie communist. That used to be basic conservatism back in the day. We all need to find a way to get along before it's too late. Stop this partisan games support my team at all costs nonsense.

Truthfully, I’m tired of the exaggeration and outrage that some are trying to gin up over something so trivial. Sure, the left sometimes goes too far, as does the right. Those whining about how much this hurts military readiness must be pretty hard up for things to complain about.

This is embarrassing because we’re going unhinged off being “politically correct”. Nobody was ever offended by having somebody call their parents “mom and dad” until somebody decided to make it offensive. If “mom and dad” is now offensive what’s next?!
This whole “sensitive training” reminds me of a South Park episode with the “PC principle”. https://youtu.be/RILdAz62Lyg
“Hey I’m going to FaceTime my mom and dad”
“Hey!! You better watch your micro-aggressions bruh!”
The best part of your post is that BS about “we need to get along before it’s too late” then proceed to call me a troll. Anyone who doesn’t 100% agree with your thoughts is a troll. C’mon man…

This was his original question, the answer to which was a screed about things being shoved in faces. Some of you out there are VERY triggered that anyone doesn’t think just like you. Get over yourselves.

Oh you poor oppressed white straight male who makes over $200,000 a year and lives in a nice area where everyone treats you well. Your life must be so hard because your "Texas airline" pretends to care about populist notions of black and gay rights in order to make money.
Seriously people. Why do pilots care so much about these issues? We sound like a bunch of entitled buffoons whining about this constantly. Leave them alone, mind your own business, and live your life.

I’m not going to take the societal attack on white males lying down. Sorry, not in my nature.
And before you paint me as entitled or having an edge on life because of my gender and race, I’ll have you know that my parents and I came to this country with not much more than suitcases and took advantage of the American dream. In other words we started with a hell of a lot less than the “oppressed demographics”.
Furthermore, I’ve earned my way to where I am today and absolutely deserve it. $h!t paying jobs, lots of $ shelled out for flight training, night freight, only to make it to the big leagues flying a 50 seat jet for $16.18/hr.
The opportunity is there for literally everyone that wants it bad enough. As a matter of fact, if you’re a woman or minority I’d say the opportunity is even more available for you.
