yuuuupppp- I have a very, very part time job that I make 140k. Opens up a lot of opportunities in life when you know you can coast and make that or if all goes wrong, take the upgrade and flex up that number. Options are beautiful

Upgrade will be in the 7ish yr range in 2023. People want fast upgrades when FO pay is hot garbage, which it appears F9’s is.

I asked this before- but why? What makes one that much better? Variety of flying? (Ok- Hawaii would be great). Money? Time off? What is so awful about Frontier? And for the love of holy mackerel- don’t say product. I don’t fly in the back. I go to work, turn left, sit in a huge cockpit that’s ice cold or warm and fly a brand new airplane. Never once do I care how many we cram in the back. So again, why? I’m honestly curious as to what I’m missing?

So what you’re saying is it’s about a million dollar difference by having a much faster upgrade? Ahh yes, that’s a downside? Dang DCA after all.

And honest question- what is the average FO flying over there in a year? Block average?

Money... you give up a metric-s-ton of it for that tray table and watching PH 23 hours at a time in red eye recovery at a LaQunita.

hahahah
oh- you forgot my bypassed upgrade. I could have held it right about 3.5 years. And how do you make money at southwest? Fly a lot. Which you’re forced to do. How do you make money at Frontier? Fly a lot. Any Frontier guys want to chime in? And nice dig at our hotels- laQunitas would be nice if we could afford it. We are more of a rodeway inn type. Sorta like where your mom feels comfortable.

What he's saying is SWA FO's make more than junior F9 CA's....then they upgrade.

Our hotels are actually pretty good. Probably 90% Hilton and Marriott brand with every other major airline. We aren’t even allowed contractually to stay at LaQuinta type places.

A career at Frontier is just the east target to make fun of and put down. I get paid to fly plane, collect check, and go home. Frontier works just fine.

But the question being asked is, how? Yes, the FO hourly rate is higher, but how are SWA FOs pulling in the 250k that they claim? Someone please show public math on how that comes to be.

This is actually a genuine question. I’m not trying to measure the length of anything here.
