Year 1/2 UAL 737 FO

Live in base and generally bid reserve. Worked for a living in June and July. No premium for the year. Handful of mil leave days scattered throughout the year, but those days are scheduled well in advance so I don't/can't use them "tactically."

For the year:
915 credit
170 block
718 TAFB

For the 10 months outside of June/July:
763 credit
66 block
296 TAFB

Pay:
$130k base
$23k DC
$12k 2023 retro
$8k 2022 retro
$3k PD
$0 PS (Wasn't on property for all of 2022, so no 2022 PS paid in 2023. Will receive 2023 PS paid in 2024.)
$176k total

I understand that QoL is going to vary significantly by category, seniority, etc., but in my personal experience, despite how much people complain about UAL's reserve rules, I can't imagine a better part-time job (assuming you're willing to live in base... don't commute to reserve). Best of luck and fly safe out there.

Skywest year 4/5 capt
From June-Dec bid reserve
548 block
averaged 23 nights/month sleeping at home
$253k
gotta love those 300% trips
Never thought I’d make this much at a regional.
Here’s to hoping the majors start dipping into the tier2/3 candidates next year.

Man. That's great. Talk to any old bitter old timer here and they say we are already hiring anyone who can fog a mirror...

Corporate Chief Pilot/Captain on Challenger 350

Base Salary $221,500
Bonus $32,500
401k Match $12,700
Total compensation $266,700

Days flown 10.6/month average
Overnights 3.4/month average

I have a class date with AA starting on 1/31. I've grown tired of never being off and some other little things that add up. I'm 40 so there's still time to have a decent airline career.

As someone who has been very happy with a switch from corporate to 121 I think you made a great choice. I was also the same age when I left. If you have any questions or if there is anything I can help with let me know. I'm at a different airline but the general differences from 91/135 to 121 are basically the same.
