Delta. Year 6.
320 Captain.
80% in category
RES (by choice) 9 months, 3 months line.
436 hours flown (probably 450 by end of year, won't affect 2023 pay)
Was "out" for 2-1/2 months with my medical being held hostage by OKC.

Since my 12/31 check is "known" (1/2 of RES Guarantee)

$466,400 Income, all in, Per Diem, Flight Pay, Profit, Retro, Greivance Settlement, all other oddball pays
$1,036 per hour flown.

If you count 401K contribution, and MBCBP (where excess 401k money goes once you hit IRS limits)
$525,900 total income.
$1,168 per hour flown.

I commute from Virginia. So the premium I do fly is when they are hosed and are 18-30 hours out. I don't fully roll thunder, but "heard thunder in the distance" to get days I need off, or work on days where it doesn't matter and I was already there.

Two best trips I did were:
Drop 2 day MEX with PB days
Pick up 2 day GS on those days. Get rerouted.
Reroute causes conflict with scheduled trip, which caused reroute prior to first airborne..
56 hour 2 day net result

F/O finds we have an illegal connection time international to domestic. Call to be releeased. Denied.
Trip pays as a buy-off plus IA pay for what is actually flown.
79 hour 4 day.

I did the math in another thread but averaged I think 11 work days a month all year. Even less than that if you factor in the ~3 months I had off with pay for FAA leave, sick time, etc.

Flt Pay/Pilot $35,248.39
Profit Sharing $15,986.97
401(k) Excess $3,078.31
Pilot Payment $50,197.16
Pilot GrievanceSettlement $207.14
Flt Pay/Pilot $240,593.59
Flight Advance/Pilot $130,412.15
Miscellaneous (non-tax) $457.00
Layover Meals $4,804.77
TAFB-Non-Layover $319.64
TAFB-Layover $26.43
Pilot Retro Pay $7,446.33
Total $454,029.49

I added in $12,371 for 1/2 of DEC RES Guarantee at the carryout rate, so that's where I got the $466,400 end of year.

For the non Delta people:
Pilot payment was the retro/not retro/signing bonus we got at contract ratification. Basically back pay for 2019-22
Retro was 2023 contract rates retroactive to 1 JAN 2023, we were still working on 2019 rates through March.
Greivance Settlement - should be self explanitory.
Miscellaneous is where they pay us for physicals, etc. (contract rate, auto pays when you upload a new cert)

Would be good to see those numbers without retro as those skew your pay artificially high for this year.
