Default Ex NK; AA vs UA

I'm sure I'm not the only NK Captain that pulled their head out of the sand today. For a less than spring chicken guy looking to pull the rip cord the best two seniority saving options seem to be AA or UA. Any recent guys at either who have left NK or something similar? Are there current pay scales and contracts on the web? Is UA still upgrading new hires to CA?

I'm admittadly way behind on my research here and it's certainly time to fix that.

Where do you live/wanna live? #1 detriment to QOL with a limited run at either SL.

This is the way. The first step is getting a call, however.

Apply to both, and go to a job fair ASAP. If you are a Captan at NK, then you should be highly desirable. Don't leave things to chance, and go to a job fair and meet with them face to face. You can likely get a job offer at the event itself.

Once you have offers, then decide.

Are we still talking WIA, NGPA, OBAP, etc job fairs?

Agree, get the offer first, second to that which has a base I live in, want to live or will have the easiest commute.

The bid which closes today had 50 unfilled 737 CA vacancies in DEN on the snapshot yesterday. It is likely new hires will be able to bid for it first day of indoc for the foreseeable future.

Yes, DEN also. Junior pilot at UAL was a DEN CA award last week.

#1...Live where you work..

*everything else is BS**

#2 If you're willing to commute than the field gets muddled---upgrade, widebodies, retirements, etc....

FWIW...Former F9 CA here that left for a legacy.
