DAL “Everyone look up at your servant leader”
#12
Serious Q to the DL folks:
Is this considered awesome by management, training dep, DALPA?
The only time I will stand on that stool is when I have to tell the pax my company let us all down, and we have a large delay/cancelation/maintenance issue and I think it will help the FAs do their thing in keeping the sheep in the corral.
Just a lowly ULCC pilot, but I do have 25 years plus of passenger handling.

I'm embarrassed to say I noticed it, but why is wearing an FO hat if he's the captain?
And the other thing is that IMHO a TRUE "servant leader" is someone who embodies those qualities WITHOUT verbalizing that they are one.

Rumor has it that the newest captain upgrades are getting shown this video in training as "what not to do as a CA."
We all hate that it reinforces the Delta stereotype and hope this dude is 64.5 so we rid ourselves of this type of behavior.

DAL folk here; this dude's speech is cringe AF and screams douche nozzle to fly with (I've never flown with him).

Not to worry... Delta's primary sin, as it were in the past, when flying across the Atlantic, was to give a long winded story about the trip statistics on guard. Ohhhh Boyyyy. Anyway... Every Airline has their share of long winded bombastic types. Thankfully they are few and far between.
