All of the pilots hired in the late 60's started out as FEs, so not really a good comparason.

All of them, but a very lucky few were furloughed for years in the early 70's.

When I have to ask permission to exercise my natural rights, and when the government takes nearly half of my earnings, then yeah, we are indeed oppressed.

Having nearly half my earnings stolen from me, and having to ask permission to exercise my natural rights is indeed unjust.

What 'natural rights' require permission and from whom?

Also curious, I don’t remember asking for permission for anything recently.
