The cost of furlough also went up as most agreements now include longevity for street time. I believe only delta had this 911?

Uh, no. AA and APA had it as did the other major airlines. Originally it was 5 years (10 years?). Post 9/11 it was increased (to unlimited?). Better program at AA vs most of the ALPA carriers. One of the things the anti- APA chanters never mention.

Everyone at AA got longevity after furlough at AA. It took a while but it happened.

Outside of bankruptcy it shouldn’t be a problem going forward. And make a furlough more expensive in the long run compared to 911 furlough provisions. |

Thats good to hear but unfortunately some had to make a decision after the three year clock was up on recall and before that was true. That and lost earning for some recalls.

This was added at AA long after 911. I remember it was a big deal for some of the TWA guys. I think it was the 2010 to 2014 time frame.

Wierd because our negotiating chair at f9 didn’t go back to AA after 10ish year 911 furlough due to the 30k salary and lga commute. We were in negotiations and there was concern he would go back while we were in mediation. He didn't due in large part to no longevity. You sure about that? Cal didn’t have it nw got it in the merge and UAL went back and forth in bankruptcy. It’s my understanding some ended up with some longevity. No idea if they were ever made whole for the time they didn’t have it?
