How about no tie with a nice suit. Who is wearing a tie in a professional setting anymore these days?

Thanks for all the advice guys! I'm glad to hear that it's basically the same as it's been for the last 26 years I've been flying. Current flashy fashion trends hold zero interest to me so I will not stray from the familiar ways.

That being said, I'm doing everything I can to look good at a potential interview. (currently in the Assessment stage, I'm so far behind.) A nice looking suit, attaché, and the 8 pounds I've already lost plus hopefully a few more, these are things that will give me the little extra boost of confidence if and when I get to sit down in front of an interviewer.

My daddy always telled me, " The 'ceptions ain't the rules".

Prolly good advice even after all these decades (worked for me, worked for my kids).

I think you have figured out your best advice...as opposed to the chest thumping a few wanted to impart.

Mutlti-million $$$ career. sounds like you distilled the prudent answer?

Best of luck Ed Force One!

We're not talking about tech bro jobs here.

It is what it is.

I'd hazard that in this era you can probably pull that off, *if* you have strong people skills.

Like you can have the entire room eating out out of your hand in no time.

I still wore a charcoal suit. I save the linen Don Johnson duds for social events.

Go ahead and try it and let us know how it works out. Oh, and wear a tan suit while you’re at it 😉

Men's warehouse off the rack. They made some small adjustments to have it fit better. It was good enough to get me a CJO from 2 legacies last year.
