Pre Screen at Delta

I will tell you this. The same woman came out the door that I came in three times on my interview day. I was very nice to her an opened the door every time. Coincidence, I think not. The is DAL they love Southern charm.

If someone gets a call for a pre-screen post it. I got my info direct from the hiring dept. It is not out of the ordinary for things to change at a moments notice, but to date that is what they have told myself as well as a few other people that have talked to them.

You'll find in this industry that EVERYONE, or should I say ANYONE can ruin your chances of getting a job. Do you know who hired the janitor? Do you know if the janitor knows anyone in the hiring department? Sometimes it might just surprise you. When going for an airline pilot job, it's better to be safe than sorry. BTW..........holding the doors open for women, and standing when they enter the room is an EXCELLENT idea and shows courtesy and respect. It could just be the tie breaker when interviewing. When the interviewees show up in EWR, they have to deal with the CPO's secretary's before the interview. Do you think they have ANY pull? They might have a lot more than you'd think!! A doctor buddy of mine helped me get on at CAL with his contacts.................... a friend he'd made who he saw in the coffeeshop on weekends. My doctor buddy didn't know his position, but put me in contact with him. I had no idea who he was until he showed up with Gordon Bethune at our newhire luncheon. THAT is when I found out he was one of Gordon's best friends. You NEVER KNOW...............

There was not mention of pre-screen as I interviewed very recently. I think their stream of applicants are still very steady. Now if anybody has good knowledge of how their psych eval process works, please PM me...

The psyche, it straight forward. Be open and honest. We are not perfect, and if they hear that, they will know that you are full of it. They just want to know what you think like and act like inside and outside of the flight deck. It was rather pleasant. Scary but true.

Thanks for the info. I was instructed to call a number to set up a pre-screen, but with the rumor there being no pre-screen, hopefully it will still turn into the invite for the real thing. If anyone hears anything keep us posted.

I received the email with a number to call to set up for an interview date. No mention of a pre-screen.
A silly question for those of you who have already gone through this, but did you book your hotel room for one night or two nights? And did you bring your luggage with you to the interview on the first day. I'm just trying to figure out the logistics if, for some unfortunate reason, I don't make it to day 2.
