Default Keys to success in DAL interview?

If you got the DAL job, what do you feel helped in the interview?

If you didn't get it, what would you have done differently?

Just looking for some good info for those of us that have upcoming interviews at Big D. Any tips or insight would be appreciated. Specifically on the face-to-face.

Drink the water...and take your jacket off! Seriously, be yourself and try to relax, avoid "canned" answers and just be honest. Alot of people struggle with the question about taking the controls of the aircraft. If they ask, then yes, you would grab the controls to save the airplane and the passengers.

Good luck...

Groundstop - some people are just better at interviewing than others. More people are messing up the interview than any other portion.

When you think that 20 years at Delta is worth 2.1 to 2.4 million, it makes the $300 interview prep a little easier to justify.

Might want to run that one by a senior Delta captain before using it in the interview...

What he means is after you have exhausted all other means to help the Captain make the best decision. IE last resort before you would make the nightly news. Not your first, second, third or fourth choice, but the LAST.

Be yourself in the interview. They know all the gouge is out there and have heard canned answers time after time. If you got the invite then I really think you're 80% there.

Insert the sound of Tim Allen making his man grunts.

And you have an appointment with a moving company the day after tomorrow, to set up your move to NYC, so you'll be living in domicile (sp) when you select (are assigned to) the shuttle. You like to plan ahead... For the record, I didn't drink the water or take my jacket off, and I don't work for Delta
