DAL Acft/Base: What would you do?
#21
Where do you want to live again? 88 ATL or ER NYC are going to be the easiest to get and see much more rapid movement in seniority. Depending on where you are coming from commuting in should be easier as well. One trick, if you are ever faced with full flights to LGA for example is to take a flight to DCA or BOS where there are mostly hourly flights going to LGA all day with shuttle flights that are usually only half full. They start very early as well. Also I have been told flying into Phili and taking the train is an option but never really looked at the logistics of this one.
The downside to NYC is having to be available to multiple airports although MD guys do 90% shuttle flying out of LGA from my knowledge, with JFK/EWR flights thrown in from time to time. You will be able to hold an MD line fairly quickly out of LGA negating the multi airport thing. Dont know much about the ER ops but understand they have late departures which could be good for commuting.
