Sounds promising... Kinda curious, I dont want to change the topic of this thread but did a search and didnt really find anything... What percentage of applicants get their 737 type before they show up to the interview? Anyone have a guesstimate? Sorry for the off-topic questions...

Razor, et al...
First...congrats on getting through what must have been a tough call.
I know someone who voted the other way--but domicile issues sort of drove the issue, not the company culture, future, or people. I also know several who voted your way.
Having been at FedEx now for going on 7 years, I see a lot of folks who "buy stocks high..." EVERYONE wanted to get hired at UAL in 1998-2000, DAL abou the same time, and so one. After 9/11, the majority ran to UPS, FDX, and SWA. Of course, there are plenty of folks who went to those companies for their own good reasons, but I think we would all agree everyone loves whoever is on top of the pay/growth curve at the moment. The problem with that is the guys who get rich in investments are the guys who buy low and ride the stock up. The best analogy I have for that is the guys who joined CAL three years ago...some passing SWA to do it. Now look at some of them--777 FOs or 737 captains. There are some who would argue being an FO at SWA might be a better/more lucrative gig, but then again maybe not. There are a lot of variable. Point is, however, most of those guys I helped back then seem pretty darn happy with their choice.
I think you guys who said "gulp" and have decided to move forward at Delta have bought low, and in a few years will reap your investment. I'm not guru...if I was I wouldn't be flying rubber dogcrap at 2 a.m. around the country. I was a DAL wannabe from about age 18-36, and I still know a lot of great folks there...current and former employees. There IS a spirit there, and I hope you and the others like you can take that and do some great things with it in the future. Although I'm on the sidelines...I'm pulling for you guys...
Godspeed.
(PS--you guys sounded like queers when you transmitted on the radio with your spacesuits on. Sorry I never got to shoot at a Mig 25 trying to ruin your day....)
