The latest 8-K filing still shows a net growth of 4 airplanes for the year.

selling two of the new ones from the 8 k filing. I think we our 6 airplanes not 4. Also aircraft utilization is going up so we will continue to hire and up grade for now. We are running record load factors right now. So take everything with a grain of salt, because we are back to the table in April. Doom aand gloom from here on out.

Please forgive my naivette, but do you mean that we will hear doom and gloom from management from here on out?

I'm just curious because I have a class date with AT in July, so I'm in a holding pattern until then ...

Yep. You can expect to hear a lot of doom and gloom for the remainder of contract negotiations. It's nothing to be worried about. Just normal contract negotiations tactics. You'll get used to it after a while.

Default Interviews Postponed

Got a call from Jenny this afternoon and my interview for later this week has been 'postponed'. No new date yet and thankfully, will not have to reapply.

She said this was influenced by aircraft deliveries which also forced them to move classes from May to July/August. Those July/August dates haven’t been affected.

Sorry for the bad news.

Just curious what April/May classes have been moved? I'm in the April 7th class as well as some of my fellow Skyway coworkers and I haven't heard anything about this yet. Any other info would be great.

Just got the call from HR and my training class in July has been pushed later with no definite start date (except that they are hoping before the end of the year). Anyone else heard anything? Being prior military and new to this industry, I understand that things like this can happen, but I’d appreciate any guidance/advice from some AirTran guys on what to expect, what you’d recommend for currency issues (if it even matters while waiting to start), and if there’s anything that I can do to ensure that I stay on AT new hire list? I’ve flown during a lot of moonless nights on the Carrier to get to this point in my career and don’t want to lose the dream. Thanks in advance.
