Companies usually won't release false information to shareholders and Wall Street institutions just for contract negotiations. They'll frequently send out internal communications to scare employees, but actually using official 8-K filings and such is over the top for most companies. Too many legal issues to deal with. I think they really are planning to scale back deliveries and slow growth for the next few years unless the economy makes a big shift to the positive.

Guys
Don't worry about maintaining currency. Once you have a class date, even if it is postponed, the company doesn't care if you show up not having flown. They won't even ask. However, if you feel you need to fly just to keep your head in the game and a cross check going, have at it. Your budget will probably dictate how "current" you will be. Class dates are directly tied to the delivery dates. You can keep score of the delivery schedule by checking out

The company posts the latest info from the last conference they presented at. Right now with oil above $100 the fleet plan is a moving target. Don't lose faith. AirTran is best positioned for whatever is coming. They are the only airline (other than SWA) which has growth planned domestically. Growth is good. Hang in there!
Capotec....I like your Avatar. I think I've seen that before somewhere.
