Like I said, bring it on... fire away... I'm ready for the "Ya'll are just ignaaarant, that's what ya'll are, ignaaarant." What if I know 80% of what you know and still have my opinion that this proves to other managements that pilots will work for FREE, knowing they will MOST LIKELY get shafted, once again by "unfortunate" circumstances. Don't get me wrong, what has happened to them is terribly unfortunate, it's what the mgmt claims as "due to unfortunate, unforeseen economic reasons"... Ex: AMR/TWA - I know those are two completely different situations, but mgmt used that catch-all phrase to dump unwanted pilots. Same will happen here with the new company if they can't get a decent deal FAST, before they owe them each for 250 hours of flying!!!
I would also like to ad that them thinking the new company actually CARES about them is just plain idiotic!

Professional Pilot, tell me something, you have been at Pinnacle for six months and when you started there YOU didn't collect a check for two months until you passed your check ride. Per Diem doesn't count as pay for it isn't taxed.
These guys are working for a wage...just gonna take two months to get it. You worked for two months and got nothing so who is really lowering the bar?

You guys need to stop flaming those of us who are against flying for free, or flying and getting pay later, or whatever the hell you want to call it.
If you think its "fair", or "shows layalty" or "professionalism", or "dedication" and all those sensitive words you're throwing at us, thats fine. I respect your opinion, go and do it, knock yourself out.....Me, I offer any company safe, proffesional work, and I'll do it with smile on my face.... But I will never fly for free, if they offer to pay me later, I'll take a look at it and think about it, but probably wont do it, you go ahead.
Up to this point, I've gotten NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING for free. I borrowed 80K to get my ratings, I still owed half of it. If I interview, I have to pay for my suit, take time off work, if I hire someone to prep me for this interview, he/she is going to charge me. If an airline needs to save money, they will furlough me in a New York minute, without pay. Nothing in life is free, specially in this profession.
How about we let the Aloha pilots do whatever they want.
About me:
-I'm not pro-union and I'm not anti-union, don't really care. I pay for protection.
-I don't need, want, or demand to be paid 200K a year, just pay me enough to live on and be respected.
-I'm not a company man, and I never intentionally try to screw the company, never have, never will. I show up, and do my job the best I can.
everyone have a great day......cheers

Too much flamebait for me. Thread closed. If someone wants to restart another thread on this topic, that's fine - just keep it civil.
