Jet Blue Pay Raise

Furlough protection clauses in contracts or management promises and understandings are not worth the paper they are printed on. If you are just basing your thumbs up or down on unions on that one very narrow focus, then you are sadly uninformed.
Besides, the best union in the world can never overcome a management team who is flushing the company down the drain through stupidity.

While you're at it, how about see how all the pilots who were at non union carriers whose management promised not to ever furlough or had an "understanding" how they feel?

2. No I am not basing a thumbs up or down on any union and if my post was perceived that way then I do apologize as we have good and bad in any union.
3.As far as management is concerned some of these carriers schould have stuck with ppl who know about the biz and not someone who decides to race the carrier to the bottom as we have now.

He aims low and scores lower...
...Guess that's why he got Herks instead of jets!
Besides... B6 will have to furlough in the fall... take a look at their 10-K. They even said they would about break even at $2.55 a gallon. JFK spot fuel is now $4.00. They will have no recourse but reduce capacity...

Pay Raise
Nice job on the newhire pay!!! The first year is disgusting and the second year makes me wanna throw up. And yet I'm sure there will be hundreds lined up at the door for the open house.

whoah whoah easy there greedy. We got something rather than nothing. 190 captains got a 10% raise across the board. You should be glad we got anything considering the nature of the industry right now. Dude, just be happy your employed. Hey we're not even union and we're getting more than every company out there. Overall Im pretty happy with the outcome.
