Word for word it says you gain seniority for 7 years, not longevity. Now why would you need to gain seniority on furlough, unless someone above you leaves. With that said I'm sure the company knows this and will not accept it as longevity.....look at how they are honoring the contract now.

Looks like we were awarded FLL-Medellin(MDE) daily from the DOT. Hopefully some expansion will get more furloughed pilots back sooner rather than later!

Thats good. Now lets see if they act on it. Maybe American will try and pull some strings since they are the back up for the routes.

Good news as long it won't be a relocation of DTW, or other domestic flying. The MEC email kind of hinted on more intl. and less domestic flying. I am waiting for the call also, but I just hope this is not going to turn into another reductions/openings bid.

Anybody know how many folks they had to go through to get the first 25 (or 30?) back? I heard there were at least a few turn downs but no specific numbers.

There was an email sent out of the people recalled and there is a list of everyone on furlough. Take a look at the numbers and you should be able to find out how many didn't take it. I accidentally deleted mine.

I can't find mine either, but it was 42-43 guys that were called for the 25 spots.

Thanks, I don't know that I ever got that email and if I did I must have erased it already. I'm still in the waiting to return category myself but glad to hear that some people are getting their jobs back.
