ALPA Vs. Spirit

Well the rumor going around now is that an owner has given Spirit a rather large cash infusion, so who knows whats gonna happen....I feel terrible for you and the rest of the folks still on furlough, and I will make sure and post any reliable info. Good luck BWL!

The way I see it, last year at this time when I was hired we had absolutely no idea that Spirit would look the way it looks today. I dont believe we can predict with any certainty what it will look like a year from now either.....hold on though, I have a feeling its gonna be a bumpy ride!

It is my understanding that they do not have the option of getting back the aircraft they returned in the fall. They have all gone to other carriers. I think we may see a 320 or two this year, but who knows when.

So 2 questions for those contract savvy pilots out there.
1. Upon recall, you have required training, the contract states compensation will be in line with training pay in section three. Are you guys getting the New Hire training pay or something different?
2. I only see that furloughed pilots gain seniority. I take that to mean that they don't gain longevity.

From a good friend who is pretty contract savvy, cannot answer #1 but as far as #2 goes he insists that on furlough we also build longetivity (from reading the contract and talking to people in the know)
