That idea would have never made it past the drawing board. 4am wake-up, 8pm Canarsie VOR in low vis. All in the same day.
Thanks for the insight. We have many lines that sleep during the day and then two days later your flying during the day, its completely ridiculous and is no more productive. A union would knock that off and I dont understand why some people dont get it. Its not just pay, its work rules, its benefits and the overall big picture. We are starting to get the emails from management instilling the fear to get the sheeples to not vote this thing in.

No, probably not, but they DO PROTECT us, and THAT is the bottom line. No union means NO protection. In this industry, if you screw up, chances are you are done. Must be nice to be in a situation where you need NO protection. This argument is just like car insurance. Sure, you can drive for a long time and never need it, but when you do need it, it sure is nice to have. I'll take ALPA or ANY union over nothing any day.

The truth is that most guys who did get fired deserved to be fired and should stay off the property and not be artificially reinstated by some union.
ALPA is a joke; you fell for the insurance sales pitch. You pay your dues and when push comes to shove ALPA will side with management anyway.
Ask all your guys out on furlough…

The trans-con-turn issue is long history and has nothing to do with management/union issues. Local FAA screwed than one up by allowing us to test this without ‘Big FAA’ approval. It did not make sense for 30/7 reasons either.

Instead of wasting time on old topics why don’t you invest your time at APA, maybe you can convince them to grow a backbone and finally stop their tracking exercises and
go ahead with a strike.

There you have a once powerful Union turning into a Chicken as soon as management
said ‘Boo’ (or Chapter 11). Twothousandninehunderdandeighty members less you guys
still don’t see the light. I’d rather have no union than something useless like APA or ALPA.

I always read in emails how we need to give our 110% with our customer but this company does not give that in return to its workers? Seems a little strange dont you think?
What makes you think that by voting in a Union our healthcare benefits will magically improve?
What prevents up from improving benefits by direct negotiation now?

Too much HOPE for CHANGE guys, I am sure you will get change with a Union, but will it be the kind of change you really had in mind?

The insults and ridicule started with your posts.
Apparently you are not mentally able to discuss a topic with out resorting to insults.
What you are missing, is that we are negotiating a new contract every year if we want to.
Try that with your Union; ask your buddies in other airlines how long they have flown without a contract amendment. If management did or did not certain ‘numbers’ now,
why would that change with a Union?
Why don’t you go back to any of your previous unionized airlines? Did not work out
for you there, did it?
You Union dudes disgust me

I dont think waterboarder wants to answer questions, just throw insults out there. 55$/hr after 3 years, where's your answer to that? We await your insight on this one.

Waterboarder,

For once it looks like you're stuck for words.
And, the question wasn't even all that clever!
Speaks volumes!
Clearly you weren't aware you were opening a can of worms.

I am furloghed AA now at B6, APA barks they dont bite, Aprey is fleecing them as did Carty in 2003. Lets see what happens the day before Thanksgiving, if APA is soooo upset as they claim to be, then they should go with the their so called plan. I see a mental difference in B6 and AA. I like it here and as of now if I were called back, I would not go. Everybody has there own agenda, mine is to take the path of least resistance and right now B6 is that path. I feel relaxed.
