I can’t believe how naïve all you union supporters are.
A Union is a Union is a Union.
The moment you vote one in you are stuck with them forever.
Is it mostly the military folks who are supporting this at JBLU
because one of your buddies gave the ‘marching order’?
Anyone ho has been a member of on or two unions at one or
two previous airlines will vote against it. Fortunately we have
plenty of ex US Air guys here who know better, they have seen
it in action.
Wishful thinking and cheap empty promises that everything will
be taken care of by you union reps, who may not talk to you
because they are negotiating on your behalf? No thanks.
The moment you vote for them all communication between
Management and pilot group comes to a screeching halt.
You are not privy to info any more.
Everything has to be put in contract language.
“If it nor in the contract – it’s not my job”.
The spell of death for our ‘radical application of common sense’.

Question for you. Is your healthcare, not pay, not retirement, but healthcare sufficient for your family? A simple yes or no answer would suffice. If you can honestly say that our healthcare is adequate then we have huge problems. If we care so much about our people then why are we NOT caring for them with healthcare? I always read in emails how we need to give our 110% with our customer but this company does not give that in return to its workers? Seems a little strange dont you think?

[quote=Logger;504290]Did you just insult any pilot at B6 with a military background?

Negative, that would include me.
I do find however, that a few of JBLU’s
ex military pilots without any civilian airline/union
experience, look at this union thing with a certain
innocence. The reality is ugly, guys. Be careful
what you wish for. We have a good thing going
here, don’t screw it up.
Just ask your buddies who fly for other
major airlines.

Waterboarder,

Since you like to draw comparisons, why don't you list the "Major" airlines that pay $55/hr to their 3rd year pilots.

Shouldn't take long!
What was the "good thing" you didn't want screwed up?

....and some more desperate sad management tactics at play form waterboarder....since he cannot explain how our medical ,prescription coverage, LOL, VSTD, scheduling rules or merger and fragmentation policy are even close to average, he retorts to petty insults hoping to draw parallels between past union leadership and ours.
You sir, are pathetic
How about some numbers? I can give them to you straight form a documnet even our leadership accepted. can you?
PS: did you get your cookie form JR yet? I bet he will give you a big one this time...what a good boy...wag your tail for him boy, wag it.

I'm at American. I'm not a Jetblue hater. I did read the 19 pages of psycho babble about justifying trans-con turns. That is why we have unions. I know some of you loved the idea of extra days off by submitting to the trans-con turns, but it wasn't worth the risk.
That idea would have never made it past the drawing board. 4am wake-up, 8pm Canarsie VOR in low vis. All in the same day.

Any Union is better than no union and the union you have is a product of the people who make it up. If the membership supports it the union will be sucessful, if not it will fail.
If someone refers to a union leader as a thug you are talking to a manager who is fearfull for their job , a management wannabe, or a pilot who has gained advantage at the expense of their fellow pilots. Management is usually sent out with marching orders to slander any potential leadership and to plant seeds of fear or grant special , usually one time, benefits on pilots who " aren't that way" or are "special".
Wish you the best of luck.
