What are your displacement preferences?

Anybody who wants to be re-instated needs to be aware that it is not automatic. You need to put it in on the computer somewhere under the bids tab to have the possibility to be re-instated. I believe the 180 days starts from your conversion to the displaced category.

Question, and I hope this isn't getting old for all you who get it. LAX767B displaced to the Maddog in ATL. Looks like I was able to hold only M88 in CVG, ATL, or NYC, no 73N, 767, or 7ER anywhere. Can anyone tell me for sure that the order of my preferences has nothing to do with whether or not I'm pay protected? I had ATL M88 ahead of NYC 7ER, and am curious because there were a few on here saying that what you bid and not just what you could hold makes a difference. Thanks in advance.

I will be displaced from the NYC ER to the 88 in SLC. The funny thing is, since I could hold the 73N in NYC (didn't want it since I'm a west coast commuter), I will only be paid the difference between the 767 and 73N. While this person, who is junior to me, will be paid full 767 pay to fly the same aircraft. And both of us will be paid more than someone senior who is already in the 88. Crazy system!

I hope that rolling thunder will happen this summer, cause I will be in your boat also, but with dbl pay GS, I think they will be a little on the hard to get side... But I raise my glass in your toast.

Not so sure, they cut a lot of bodies off the 767 in ATL
Remember the DAL way is to be short. There is no way that they will get every one trained prior to summer. Think of all of the TOE that needs to be done with this and CVG!

Here's hoping for a very short ATL767 category this summer. Summer of '07 I averaged 6 GS a month. I've only done one since then. However, since we had more guys leave than the displacement called for I am hoping for some good times hopefully. However, the lifestyle of senior reserve will be missed.

It will be interesting to see which way it goes this summer. Rolling thunder might not be as easy to get on reserve this year. With GS pay back at double pay and you only need to get to the ALV or 72 hours I would imagine that a lot more line holders will GS this year. Not was the case the last couple of years.
