Default 2 passengers sue Continental over flight 1404

Don’t you think they are doing this a little pre mature? Since the NTSB has not made there finial ruling on what was the cause of the crash. It seems to me that it is ridiculous to accuse the flight crew of pilot error. With what little they know about flying and what really happened on the flight deck, how do they even know that there was any fault on the flight crews part? Yet they are leaving out that fact that the actions of the flight crew might be the reason they are still alive. I have no opinion on what was the cause, I just want to wait to hear what the EXPERTS (NTSB & FAA) have to say!!. But hey im just a pilot....what do I know!

They will sue everything and everyone from Goodyear tires to whoever made the nav lights and everyone that ever touched anything in between.

Yet another example of how personal compensation lawyers have turned this country into a mess. Freakin Ambulance Chasers!

Maybe had she paid attention during the safety briefing, the seat belt wouldn't have been such an issue. Are you suppose to get compensated for not being able to perform the simplest of tasks? That is over-dramatized reporting

“We’re not seeking a windfall. We just want Continental to pay for their losses, their medical care, any lost wages and psychological care,” he said.

I love that quote. That would probably be about $10k or so a person. I bet they are asking for 100 times that. Good ol bloodsucking attorney Gibby is also stated to expect more lawsuits from other pax he convinces may get something for nothing. CAL should offer each person $5k for their baggage and one year of psych counseling from the Dr of their choice with the billing going directly to CAL. I bet 90% would never go for even one visit.

Gentlemen,

It may be wise to temper your comments given that those same "bloodsucking attorneys" will be reading this board and others for "facts" to support their claims.

Just a thought.

"Pellegrini, a 21-year-old college student who was on her way home to Pearland for the holidays, did not return phone calls Monday. The day after the crash, her parents said she was unhurt."

I'm sorry, isn't that called FRAUD!?!

What most people don't know, and attorneys work hard to conceal, is that it actually is illegal for attorneys to brazenly make claims without reasonable evidence!

This degenerate lying scumbag will also likely pay off an "expert" witness (like Greg Fieth) to LIE under oath. It's a very common practice in the legal industry based on my research and experience.

Last year, in case you didn't hear, a whole bunch of high power attorneys went to jail for various fraud charges. Bill Learach and Melvin Weiss of the Milberg Weiss securities fraud law firm for illegally hiring plaintiffs to sue. Dickie Scruggs, mastermind of the tobacco settlement that made his firm alone over $1 BILLION in attorneys fees got 5 years for attempted bribery of a judge. An injury lawyer is south Florida known as the "king of torts" went to jail for stealing $13 million from his own clients. And an asbestos law firm in West Virginia got caught submitting dozens of medical reports by a phantom doctor, and using "stand-ins" on chest xrays, though they have yet to be prosecuted.

They are the most dishonest and evil people the world has ever known. They're a rogue profession. Technically, they no longer meet the definition of a profession since they abuse their knowledge and power for their own gain rather than the benefit of society. They need to die, plain and simple.

Her parents saying that she said she wasn't hurt isn't fraud because she can't self-diagnosis properly a medical expert will testify too.
The thing that gets me is the statement from the attorney about CAL already knows what happened and no matter what - they are guilty of something! So much for innocent until proven guilty! Suing before you even know what happened? How about suing for "thinking" you w ere going to die. I guess a lot of MD's that diagnosis terminal illnesses should be put on alert. if they happen to get better - they just might get sued for **scaring** them!
Amazing.........and sad.

Exactly, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can be diagnosed years after the incident. Though widely used in military cases, this has become a common tactic when trying to prove "mental anguish and suffering" from any traumatic incident. Its the "mental" part that attorney's use to get big payouts from sympathetic juries.

Also, this guy (pronounced like scum-bag) is not waiting feverishly for us to post something useful he can use in the lawsuit. I'm quite sure he has his own set of aviation expert witness cronies to march up to the stand and testify. Besides, he's too busy chasing down all those "victims" to sign on to the lawsuit.
