Pace employees have told me that August is their slow month but things pick up as they get closer to September with more seasonal customers returning.
If Pace can't make payroll now with their operation in Atlantic City picking up (two aircraft flying almost 5 days a week), their operation in San Juan set to begin plus the existing sports charters, I figure that they may have a few weeks until the cash completely runs out.
Too bad...it had potential

Watch out… Miami Air is the circling shark waiting to consume its prey. Their scent for lack of money in Pace’s coffers is like blood in the water to them. They have a very strong sales department, and know how to persuade both current and prospective clients. Besides DOD flying, Miami Air is big on sports and corporate incentive charters. They do put out a good product too.

I wouldn't be surprise to see the sharks at Miami Air scarf up what's left of Pace's business.
Just my two cents.....

The rumor on the street (unconfirmed) is that a major carrier who Pace has been doing some B-737 "C" Checks for along with a regular stream of avionics conversions (Live TV installations) has told Pace that they are going to stop those conversions and all work by Pace until the pay situation is resolved. Obviously, there is concern that it's not in their best interest for disgruntled Pace mechanics to be working on their aircraft.
Now those in the know, and I'm not one of them....I just read tea leaves, use the analogy that Mr. Rogers wants to cut costs so he has cut off the electrical power to the generators that were running the bilge pumps....pumping water out of a ship that has been taking on a great deal of it as of late. Hmmmm
.
Sounds like someone doesn't have a handle on the problem.
Just my two cents worth.....

Pace's money situation sounds similar to the last charter company I flew for. They were trying to lure potential fools who were willing to part with their $$$$. They could not afford to have their copy machine repaired so they were making copies of their prospectus by using their fax machine. Ahhh you ask what about Kinkos or alike... well you guessed it... their credit was cut off for hmmm
Good luck to all crews at Pace.
