I still haven't heard a good argument as to why seperate MEC's would be better. At least with one MEC, DALPA "has it's toe in the door" so to speak with regards to 70+ seat flying. APA and Eagle ALPA don't work together worth a **** and I really don't want to see that all over again here...
Just brainstorming... how about a staple to the bottom but fence the E175 off... i.e. instead of a flowup/flowback, you just hop the fence. Doesn't really change anything except "old CP" guys are now accruing longevity at DAL and working under a decent contract, and the representation issue is solved.

I'm not certain, but I don't think it was a Compass guy that drafted the resolution calling for us to devolve to our own MEC if we aren't stapled. I think most of us would prefer to stay under Delta's MEC: representational issues aside, we're simply too small to go it alone and remain effective (only ~165 pilots off probation). If you've been following the DAL MEC forums, you'll see that it's mostly DL/NW guys who want to spin us off yesterday. Some of the attitudes over there amaze me but I suppose they shouldn't; there's a reason scope became such a shambles in the first place.

If you read the resolution by your guys it states just that. That is what will happen if nothing is done, there is no reason to put that offer in the resolution. If it is in there, it is the LEC's membership's rite to amend the resolution of the floor, with enough votes that is.

Gotcha. I do see it in the resolution, I just wasn't aware that a CPS pilot was the author of that resolution. I don't think that particular clause reflects the prevailing attitude over here, but I could be wrong. Most of the guys I talk to are alarmed that the MEC appears to be hellbent on divesting themselves of us.

The Delta MEC and ALPA had a chance to fix this back in 2000 with the PID that was filed....It's a little late now...
The Delta MEC argued back then that it is not appropriate to integrate regional and mainline groups...Those words from the Delta MEC will probably be used against them now....
