ndarmour 03-24-2009 05:02 PM

I had never heard "rope start"
That was classssssssic.

Scoop 03-24-2009 05:09 PM

Never heard of Rope Start but its kind of logical for the 200. My favorite one is that the winglets are Engineer deflectors.

Winglets--International sign meaning "no engineers"

Avroman, where have you been? The merger is a done deal and has been completed. We're just piecing together the parts. Delta is now the largest carrier in the world. All that remains is for the FAA to issue a SOC. Aircraft are being painted. Uniforms are being worn. Bidding systems are being integrated.

HA!

In indoc we take a picture by the DC-3 and 767 in the Delta museum at Delta Headquarters and then we go to Stone Mountain to take our picture in front of Lee, Jackson and Davis,

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...osaic_crop.jpg

and then we take our picture in front of the General Lee. Here is my picture with my classmates, you can see me there on top of the car, I'm the hot one.

You laugh MSP and DTW pilots, but you too will soon count to three like this: "1, 2, EARNHARDT!"

forgot to bid 03-24-2009 05:45 PM

As to NWA bases, add MSP 7ER and DTW 7ER. I've seen it in the bid packet.

Yeah, some of us noticed that in our bid packages. Now there were no flights listed (makes sense at the moment). We're wondering if the DTW and MSP 757 bases are going to be called 7ER before SOC or is it going to be after SOC.

The reason is... that at Delta South, when they switched the 767 CVG base (domestic) to the 7ER CVG base, they closed the 767 base, displaced everyone then had a the same number of openings for the new 7ER base. Because there were displacements from other aircraft in other bases, not everyone who was in the CVG 767 based made it to the 7ER base.

I saw a talk show in London last year that had these 3 on. She must weight 300 lbs. now. What a shame

So the picture above is her new-hire picture(before), and the interview is her current pic(after). She must bid Nice or Rome. Welcome to Delta South!

300 lbs wouldn't qualify her to fly out of Seattle, I believe the minimum is 350

I think he knows this. He was responding to someone else's joke that he apparently misinterpreted.

NuGuy 03-25-2009 01:52 PM

Hehe, at DAL North we get to go up to Brainard and get our picture taken with Paul and Babe the Blue Ox. Then we go meet Margie, the sheriff.

It's a heckuva deal...

I have heard that SEA FA's cannot layover in HNL anymore. Everytime they lay on the beach, Greenpeace comes up, throws a rope around them and tries to drag them back into the water

I've been sitting reserve in DTW, as I will probably continue to be for the forseeable future..... I know the merger is official but the integration isn't complete. Bases for crews and planes are yet to be shuffled. Such as 747's to ATL, 7ER to DTW, and MD90 to MSP. Basically my point was where the bases/planes are right now will not be where they are in a year, after SOC.

If I read this right(?) are all Delta South domestic 757/767's flown just from ATL & SLC? JFK/CVG/LAX are ER only? And who flies the SLC-CDG trip?

The 767 ER categories fly both domestic and international. The SLC-CDG trip can be covered by any base, I think ATL is doing it this month.
