GREAT INFO DAL4EVER! Can you provide a break down of retirements vs. year?

What could possibly change between now and 2029?

Bingo. Once those Southwest pilots get near 63 they'll start the fight over again.

Basically what you guys are saying is that this age 65 rule has effectively stopped regional guys from making it to majors in the next few years. Looks like foreign carriers will be the only choice left in the next few years if you want to fly wide body internationals.

FedEx and a number of others were for the age increase, including ALPA national.

FedEx MEC was for the change. The majority of the FedEx crewforce was against it. The crewforce was also against retro for the over 60 that were plumbing or doing special projects or friends of friends of management! We would not be in the overmanning position we are in if the age had not changed. I forgot that I was supposed to move on. Guess it was easier for the ones that got another 5 years as wide body capt. to get over it.
