Some did retire yesterday
A friend who flys the 757 for us was on a MSP-SFO flt last night and had a jumpseater who was riding out to do the redeye back. Well this flight wasn't scheduled to arrive SFO until around 11:30 and the Redeye was scheduled to leave 1:30 prior to their inbound arrival time...... So my bud ask's this guy why he is going on this flt and he said crew scheds phoned him and the outbound captain had quit on the spot when her heard the merger news. From what I am reading from NAPLA guys could quit up until midnight last night and go under the old NWA insurance. So at least one more left, I wonder how many did quit yesterday.......

You are free to characterize the NWA MEC and the DAL MEC however you wish, but you sound naive. There's also that sound of Kool-Aid sloshing around that seems to be a recurring problem. I have a healthy dose of skepticism for all sides until there is proof beyond all doubt, thus I'm not able to say I know very much for certain about this.
And by the way, everything in bold font above is BS.
