Default Some did retire yesterday

A friend who flys the 757 for us was on a MSP-SFO flt last night and had a jumpseater who was riding out to do the redeye back. Well this flight wasn't scheduled to arrive SFO until around 11:30 and the Redeye was scheduled to leave 1:30 prior to their inbound arrival time...... So my bud ask's this guy why he is going on this flt and he said crew scheds phoned him and the outbound captain had quit on the spot when her heard the merger news. From what I am reading from NAPLA guys could quit up until midnight last night and go under the old NWA insurance. So at least one more left, I wonder how many did quit yesterday.......

According to many boards and posts here upwards of 1000 NWA pilots would quit. Even if its only half that number it will be a big help! Sadly however I heard the actual number was under 20.

If it was 500 then that would help us a great deal with this quagmire called SLI....

He's not going anywhere. He's only 52 (his words), and is taking full advantage of the Roberts award by flying out of seniority.

I'm not a fan of Carls but in this instance I don't think he had anything to do with the Roberts award. He,like the rest of us,is just bidding what's available to him.

Actually I think Carl is one of the more level headed NW guys - he makes good arguments mostly based on facts, yeah he is biased toward the NW side but aren't we all biased?

Scoop, you sure give him a lot of latitude with posts like this:

I looked at the bolded items. Carl is wrong. I'm sure he'd like to hump my leg, but what's the point.
