Start with an NWA guy or a DAL guy...I don't give a crap who it is, but I'm sure many of you will find a reason to whine about who's at the top. Screw fences, screw DOH, screw all this crap everyone is throwing around about what they bring to the table and what their future expectations are. We're all one big happy family now, and the sooner all of the pilots on both sides quit acting like whiny little b!tche$, maybe we'll actually have something that is functional, if not somewhat fair. My airline is going to cease to exist, and yours is going to cease to exist as you know it....get over it. Yeah, maybe I'll be junior to guys hired at Delta a year ago. Yes, maybe some very junior Delta guys won't be able to hold the 767 out of JFK anymore. Life is a big sh!t sandwich and we're all going to have to take a bite, so how about we knock off b!tching at each other and quit clinging to moronic, unrealistic expectations of what we are "owed".
I'll write you in as my choice for Prez tomorrow... That's bipartisan leadership I can trust!

I'm still a fan of Phil, but maybe it's time to move on. GO VOLS!
Lookit,

I like Phil too. He's a good guy and I'm sure he'd be fun to knock back a few Old Charters and catfish with....

but.....

our recruiting has slacked off in recent years, we've been in a steady decline since '98, we're 3-6 and we just got our ass handed to us by f'ing South Carolina. (I hate Spurrier, but I would damn sure have welcomed an orange visor)

Phil's time is done, we need someone who knows something about anything other than O - linemen.

What is the definition of the "majority" of your pilots retiring at age 60? How can you pretend to put forward even a guess as to how many will retire prior to 65?

No flame intended, just curious as to the facts you have to back up these very critical numbers.

newKnow,

For as long as you factor in attrition. If you want a dynamic list, it needs to be dynamic for ALL variables that are dynamic. But I acknowledge that ultimately results in two groups fighting over this until the list is nailed down. Hence its not the best solution.

Look (practicing my Obama), the current DAL proposal shares our projected growth, with your potential shrinkage and attrition. Seems a fair balance to me. The NWA list, OTOH, keeps your own attrition during your high attrition period, then shares our attrition during our high period, as well as sharing our growth and us sharing your shrinkage. Seems pretty lopsided to me.

I'm hopeful the negotiators can settle this, but if not, I'm confident the arbitrators will settle it with something I can live with. I have no intentions of ever saying I got screwed in the merger. I hope you guys will do the same.

No doubt. I'd prefer a Jack with my catfish... but OC is OK.. Watching the ol' ball coach struggle really makes one realize just how easy it is to build a team in Florida doesn't it? I surely would love to see coach Kiffin on our sideline next year. OTOH.. I'd welcome an orange visor too.

Not enough golf courses in Knoxville for Spurrier. I don't think you can play year round there either. My guess is Spurrier goes to FSU if he lands another job.

He (Spurrier) said yesterday that he isn't interested in going anywhere... that USC is his last gig.
