100 Seat Jets now flown by Regional Carrier!!

Easier said than done. A higher paying regional will not win any contracts and will just die away. Look at XJT if you need any further proof. Getting anything more than "industry standard" pay will almost always be the kiss of death to contract carriers.
I think scope is the only safety net we can count on now.

Here it comes!
Many at Midwest predicted this as a possible scope end-around. Our only miscalculation was to think we would be the ones flying the E190.
How long before RAH has rates for widebodies?
Race to the bottom for sure.

I'm looking forward to the beer with my APA buddy this week. Rekon I'll do a lot of listening and pouring. They know they are next.

Major airline pilots gave up scope to protect pay and pension. Now look at how many airlines have that. Major pilots left a real trail of crap for any future pilots. APA (American Pilots) is next on the chopping block as far as scope. I have high hopes but my gut tells me it will come down to pension v.s. scope. We all know how that will turn out.

I agree that they will be initially used for the old MD-88 routes flown by MEH. What happens after these two is what has me concerned. (ie we cannot compete on these routes with AAI and WN flying them as well....)

Ipilot, Thats not an accurate statement. XJT does have higher pay but they also have some of the best performance metrics in the buisiness, they have some of the best adaptivity of all regional airlines, and also have lower operating costs than several "lower paid" pilot groups. This analysis has been done many times by both the pilots, company, and mainline partners.
First, you guys had nothing to compare to since CAL only had one jet carrier. Along comes CHQ, and after an adjustment period and shaking the dust off of the CRJ's, they are on par or ahead of your performance month over month.
If you guys had great performance, and lower costs, you would have potential partners beating down your doors. Guess what...you don't.

I agree, we have to stop it now. If any other airline give away more scope, it just means that the other management groups will "NEED" it to compete. No one would need it if it never got started. If it does not stop, we are only killing ourselves. No one is starting new airlines that fly only RJ jets. We the mainline pilots are the one giving this flying up so it can be awarded to the lowest bidder.
Time for point fingers is over. We all need to say no, no matter what. It is the only way we will have a leg to stand on.

Don't blame the regionals, it was given away in BK provisions and negotiated away by mangement....that's why when I hear "rightsize" I cringe...just talking points to help the rank in file get in step.
