Not true. Continental still has one of the best iron-clad scope agreements in the industry regarding smaller jets. Any jet over 50-seat capacity must be flown by mainline pilots. There are other parts of our scope agreement that management is chomping at the bits for us to relax in order for them to pursue other business opportunities to their benefit.

Wasn’t that more an issue that Delta didn’t like the idea of having too much of it’s commuter flying with just two companies. In case there was another strike shutting down half the system. And not so much the high pay? I didn't work at comair, just followed it in the news so I could have it mixed up.

I agree, we have to stop it now. If any other airline give away more scope, it just means that the other management groups will "NEED" it to compete. No one would need it if it never got started. If it does not stop, we are only killing ourselves. No one is starting new airlines that fly only RJ jets. We the mainline pilots are the one giving this flying up so it can be awarded to the lowest bidder.
Time for point fingers is over. We all need to say no, no matter what. It is the only way we will have a leg to stand on.

One more time, Delta ALPA caused this whole thing. They changed their scope langauge and let the Midwest pilots hang out to dry.
Delta ALPA made this bed ... sleep in it. I'm applying to Republic.

And the Midwest pilots sat idly by and watched it happen. If you saw it coming you should have shut it down. Stop blaming it on everyone else.

Join the ranks of the screwed over, disenfranchised and disalusioned.. I am at a loss for any viable solution to this downward spiral of our profession.
