We the mainline pilots are the one giving this flying up so it can be awarded to the lowest bidder.

Time for point fingers is over. We all need to say no, no matter what. It is the only way we will have a leg to stand on.

I agree, but I do not think ALPA National cares about this fight as long as they get their dues money. Their has be be a membership revolt.

Think about it... ALPA National has no skin in the game.

First, you guys had nothing to compare to since CAL only had one jet carrier. Along comes CHQ, and after an adjustment period and shaking the dust off of the CRJ's, they are on par or ahead of your performance month over month.

If you guys had great performance, and lower costs, you would have potential partners beating down your doors. Guess what...you don't.
So then why are CHQ's CRJs are going BYE BYE and CAL won't discuss extending service with them. Look at completion factor and MX cancellations and I think you will see a different story with XJT vs CHQ with regards to CAL. Also look at the cities served by CHQ for CAL and its no wonder that they have a "better" on time performance than that of XJT. Also EWR shifts that number a lot. Its hard to compare when CHQ operates a 1/10th of the flights that XJT does. Looks like somebody needs to stop reading the "god loves CHQ" letters.

I totally agree with you that if we lowered our pay and work rules to Republic's level we would get more flying.

Have fun being in the right seat longer than the rest of us.

If anyone is drinkin' koolaid, it's you buddy. aerotang was spot on. CHQ has months where they have more cancellations than XJT all while operating 90% fewer airplanes! Then comes the low vis. in IAH and CHQ is diverting like ants when their hill stepped on.

Get over yourself..

Back to the original topic, I was sickened to see the news about Midwest. It seems like everyday it gets worse. How long before WN and FL drive them out of business? Any word on where WN will be flying to out of MKE?

Does Midwest even have a scope clause? If so, what is it?

Why does everyone think AA is next to cAAve on scope?

AA & CAL please hold on. We are all counting on you!

Air Midwest pilot's made about 2x the hourly rate as Republic. Some bean counter got a bonus for that one I'm sure!

You guys can call this a 'furlough' all you want. The sad fact is that these poor Midwest pilots will never be recalled as long as these RAH planes are around. What is Midwest's management incentive to bring them back?

There is none unless they do it as cheap as them. That is their goal and once they have it, you have a real problem on everyone's hands.

(ALPA) Everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY would have to set the parking brake, regardless of who they are flying for to make the point.

Odds of that happening? Even for one day, or in a CHAOS scheme.

How'd that "demand higher pay" thing work out for Comair?
