I agree, we have to stop it now. If any other airline give away more scope, it just means that the other management groups will "NEED" it to compete. No one would need it if it never got started. If it does not stop, we are only killing ourselves. No one is starting new airlines that fly only RJ jets. We the mainline pilots are the one giving this flying up so it can be awarded to the lowest bidder.
Time for point fingers is over. We all need to say no, no matter what. It is the only way we will have a leg to stand on.

I agree, but I do not think ALPA National cares about this fight as long as they get their dues money. Their has be be a membership revolt.
Think about it... ALPA National has no skin in the game.

Stop drinking the f'in coolaid over at XJT. I personally get a report every month on your ontime performance and completion factor against CHQ. Guess what? You lose to CHQ almost every month. Now granted, CHQ doesn't go into EWR, so the shifts the numbers a little, but you are still behind CHQ on performance.
First, you guys had nothing to compare to since CAL only had one jet carrier. Along comes CHQ, and after an adjustment period and shaking the dust off of the CRJ's, they are on par or ahead of your performance month over month.
If you guys had great performance, and lower costs, you would have potential partners beating down your doors. Guess what...you don't.

Back to the original topic, I was sickened to see the news about Midwest. It seems like everyday it gets worse. How long before WN and FL drive them out of business? Any word on where WN will be flying to out of MKE?
Does Midwest even have a scope clause? If so, what is it?
Why does everyone think AA is next to cAAve on scope?
AA & CAL please hold on. We are all counting on you!

What is Scope?
Republic Airlines is taking Delivery of 2 100 Seat EMB-190 Aircraft to operate for Midwest, while Midwest has pilots on furlough, this is ridiculous...I guess I can plan on spending the rest of my career at a Regional Airline...when do you suppose RAH will put 737 on their pay-scale?
Check the Regional threads for more discussion

Air Midwest pilot's made about 2x the hourly rate as Republic. Some bean counter got a bonus for that one I'm sure!

Odds of that happening? Even for one day, or in a CHAOS scheme.
