Ha!
I think Sky was pulling on some chains and a couple of you guys bit.
The OP is essentially calling for a Industry-wide illegal strike, and lucidly explaining why the economic effect of degregulation over last three decades have made such action essential if the profession is to survive as a profession, and not just a hobby of the independently wealthy and voluntarily poor.
Skyhigh is saying we're too chicken.
If you're not, then you really ought to start banging on your LECs and MECs and tell them you're willing to risk it all. Because its gonna take a whole lot of us to start saying it for our Unions to start taking the idea serously, and not dismiss it as the crazy rantings of a few cranks. Because your MEC knows if they instigate it they are the ones who will lose thier jobs and go to jail. So if they don't have the support of the whole union, they won't be willing to even talk about it.

CAL management has stated multiple times, verbally and in memos that Chautauqua was the lowest bidder. No one here needs to get over it, in fact you brought it up and I just corrected you.

One of the worst aspects of the current situation is the psychological warfare that we must suffer through. Did Continental Airlines award flying to Chautauqua because they were better or significantly cheaper? Or was it to play two pilot groups out against each other and thus weakening both groups. Go jet is another prime example.
