That's why it's not precedent, as you said. The original poster asked if there was precedent of a smaller A/C operator aquiring a larger A/C operator. Other than the handful of 330s that USair had, the two operated virtually the same fleet. Thanks for backing me up. |
Bad communication on my part then. I thought his reference was into a small airline, ie number of frames, purchasing a larger airline. Aircraft size is kind of arbitrary in my mind when it comes to this.

Ok.........but..... Doesn't Republic operate a heck of alot more airframes than both Midwest and Fronteir combined? By almost a 3 to 1 margin? |
we currently have around 210 airplanes whre midwest is less 9 and F9 50 ish with 10Q over at lynx. yeah your math is about right a 3 to 1 ratio.

From MEA council 30 fastread.
Finally, today we filed a new Section 1 grievance due to the fundamental change in our situation associated with the introduction of the E-190s and the scheduled total replacement of Midwest operations by Republic. Also RAH completed its purchase of Midwest today. Republic completes Midwest Airlines acquisition - JSOnline |
