That would be nice. Down vote the AFA, fire all the jaded unpleasant FAs and then vote yes. Good for everyone, especially the pax who have to deal with bitter FAs that treat them like its the DMV.

For all those that have been worried about a furlough, without ALPA and the contract that has flowback etc...how worried would you be. The point is a lot of us, probably all have benefited from having a union....why shouldn't the FAs have the same opportunity?

It's pretty simple: if they want one, let them have one. As stated above, it's up to them.
That being said, I'm far beyond supporting the ones that want a union, or trying to make any positive arguments to those on the fence. A union is only as good as its' members want it to be, and only assuming they're involved. I don't get the feeling the ones that want a union want it for the purpose of making theirs a worthwhile profession. That would be noble. Instead, I think many want it so that they may provide an even lower level of performance, with a greater degree of impunity.
I'd support a group of co-workers that was proud, professional, and competent, and wants to be treated accordingly. Not angry fat chicks that want to be left alone to treat our revenue the way angry fat chicks treat anything that isn't a hamburger.
I hope that doesn't come across as bitter or unappreciative of their excellent work...
