Rumor of hiring about 30 late '09-early '10. Pay raises finally coming in October, after 6 months of stall-spin delay tactics. Those will help. Pay/QOL is kinda between a Regional and Legacy. Not a bad place to be but still needs work.
Glad to see JB took a step in the positive direction on the pay rates....congrats. |

In speaking with a JB Crew at the begining of the summer, they said the rates were going to be put in place around June (or early summer)? What was the hang up or stall on the new rates being implimented right away?? Since Mgt is choosing to play ball in October, is there talk of retro, or anything along those lines??
Glad to see JB took a step in the positive direction on the pay rates....congrats. |

In the meantime, training on days off, trans-oceanic deadhead in coach; and my buddies furloughed from CAL still have to work a couple months at 31/hour with FAR work rules... those in glass houses sir. |
I can't speak about the working conditions at JB but I will tell you that as a jumpseater (vicarious passenger) the experience in the back of the airplane is excellent.
Customer service is professional and efficient. Flight attendants and pilots have great attitudes. The airplanes in general are immaculate and that extra few inches of leg room is really nice. They tend not to over book so there are almost always a few empty's in the back for us poor jumpseaters. Once you are booked for the JS, you can check in at a kiosk and just wait for your name to be called. Overall, much better experience that on some legacy carriers. |
