Aaahhh, I know the FO and I would say, no. No chance.

Noticed the FO looked over age 60, I am thinking they just had fallen asleep after a warm glass of Ensure...

I think this is a case of intentional nordo. Only problem, they took too long. I love all the grandios explanations by the senior CA and geniuses. Did he loose comm, did he fall asleep, did he mis program the FMS. ????? Just go back to basic sleeze and you will figure it out brains. Don't ask, Don't tell. You are so out of it, so don't ask ... Nobody wants to answer the phone ( comm in this instance) when you are involved....

I'm afraid to address your theory because their watching us.

They are always watching us.

I....I.....I've already said too much.

But this "regional pilots don't know what they're doing" you brought up simply isn't valid. ....

DoJet,

I hope you and toilet, et al. have more SA reading the FMS and MFD than you do these posts. Search my posts, I didn't say anything about regional pilots. I did note someone's aircraft that they fly because it was an FMS aircraft and I scoff the idea that there are no pilots that navigate via the white line vs the real world. I also mentioned the fact he says he's an F/O because I scoff the idea that no F/O has never been behind the jet.

But, regional vs mainline???? Never brought it up. Of course, you and whomever else would never mis-read an FMS like you would these posts:rolleyes:

I just saw the Mercedes E-class commercial...apparently it awakes the driver if he falls asleep. As amazing as a Mercedes is, why don't our multi million dollar planes have that technology installed...

Because we shouldn't have to. Heck, if you are going to improve something on an aircraft make it worthwhile, how about windshield wipers that work!!!!!! Of, course if they had had the wipers on they wouldn't have been able to sleep.
I wonder what the dispatcher was doing in all this? "Operational control" is a shared responsibility, after all.
Probably sending msg after msg that laid blinking on the MFD! Center would have called them looking for a way to conact the aircraft. Don't try to blame somewone else, these guys screwed the pooch.

If you are trying to tell everyone you are like that then just say it...notice you are the only one that came up with that theory...kinda wierd....or queer....

8,000 hours in this jet and never been lost. :D

I also know to talk to someone after an hour of silence too.........even on guard if necessary. Come to think of it, lost comm (or nav) procedures work if tried as well.

None of this works though should one be honking like a Canada Goose.
