I, for one, cannot imagine anyone accepting an airplane with all the lavs deferred. Perhaps they went inop after departure?

If it was an Airbus, and the Ramp crew didn't service the potable water (for whatever reason), the lavs would shut down. The Airbus uses a vacuum/potable system for the lavs, blue juice is only there for deodorizing and disinfecting...very little of it in the system, actually.

If I was PIC on that one, and found out passing 10,000 that all lavs were inop, I would have returned for landing, or, if above max landing weight, landed somewhere short of 4 hours to get fixed. This is a health issue.

Agreed. At least two need to be working on a jet that size, and the tank need to be bone dry!

Bored, calm down read your posts:
1. You simply stated you were furloughed from an a320 operator. I did not say you flew that particular flight, if it happened.
2. You took until post #9 to say you were on that flight. Prior to that you did the he said/she said, I heard a rumor routine.
If you were on that flight, why did you not say so in your first post? You may have had some credibility then. Now I just wonder.
I agree with the last two posts, if all three had failed shortly after TO I would return - to all H*** from management but so what. When I took an a320 from NE to FL with one lav I told everyone before they got on what was happening and it was no big deal because there were no surprises.
Just relax Bored, you sound too uptight...Go to Mexico again...

None of this changes the fact that you told him he deserved to be furloughed.

That is true.

Bored, I do apologize for saying you deserved to be furloughed. That wasn't right, as I have been in the same situation.

But I can't help but wonder why you said it was a story that you had heard about the flight, and then after nine posts you then say you were on the flight.... my ** meter is still pegged.

Well I was vague on purpose. I figured some might not respond if I sounded as if I was a person on a vendetta after the crew. It was completely out of curiosity. The reason I said "story" was in response to

I will also apologize because I shouldn't have been so rude in my response to you after your post, suggesting you post would be useless.

Now we can move on.
