Sweet, more MEM DC9 people. Although, I'm really liking reserve here, fly two trips a month or so. Althoough they usually have 3 DH legs through ATL, ouch.

Hello all. I am posting for the first time. I was given a conditional hire on 5 Aug and placed in the "pool". I'm still on active duty and probably won't retire/go to training until the end of next summer (2011). I have been observing your forum since the day I received my new hire letter and am ecstatic to be part of the Delta family. I've been waiting for this my entire life. I don't care what I fly as long as it has wings and look forward to gleaming advice from you guys and picking your brains. Sorry I don't have anything of value to add to your forum right now.

Don't worry. We don't add anything of value either. :D

Welcome to the DAL family, & we look forward to seeing you on the line whenever you start. :)

We've got a ton of former military guys that will be more then willing to help you guys transition to the airline life. I've been straight civilian in my career so I'm no help in comparison, but I can still answer questions about life at DAL. It's different, but you'll get used to it.

BTW, lots of guys play golf while sitting reserve at DAL. It's a rough life. :D

Welcome to DAL. :)

If the rest of us were expected to have something of value to add, none of us would be here.:D

Golf is for those who can't SAIL!

I'm not old enough to take up golf yet but when I'm too old to sail, I might consider it...

When I got my conditional offer letter there was a part that mentioned that the offer was void six months from the day it was written. Did they change that for those who got hired into the pool?
