Do you seriously believe that being a loving, caring, stable parent has a direct correlation to IQ? I submit that intellect has just about zero direct correlation with perpetration of one person's hatred upon another. Seems to be much more of a spiritual dynamic. Color me crazy if you will....

Well Royer, that was very profound. As a SWA employee, a frequent flyer on DAL and while jumpseating on other carriers I can honestly say that the greyhound passengers are at every airline. While not a scientific study on my part I would challenge anyone to dispute it by actual demographic studies of your passenger base. Are you actually new to APC or are you re- entering the fight with a new call sign?

As a DAL Pilot I can vouch for Oscar - Delta has our share of seemingly moronic passengers.

I don't think FAULTPUSH works for SWA, but none the less, I'm sure we will pay out big. I don't remember the exact figure that SWA pays out each year in settlements or free travel (some have received several years for free I was told), but I do remember thinking to myself that it was a lot of money. I wish we had a backbone sometimes, but the company has chosen a path that it is better to settle than expend money on legal costs. Airlines are perceived as cash cows so it seems anyone will try and get money out of them.

My guess is the the F/As did not make the desicion to look out for the baby's welfare and removing this child from the parent lightly, but did it anyway.
I have nothing but praise for the staff and the airline for doing this.

Had this been my child I would have hired a VERY good lawyer and sued the airline AND the F/A who did this bigtime. I would also try to get the F/A arrested for kidnapping.
Once again it seems the second you step on an aircraft, all your civil rights seem to be left at the airport. Tell me what right a F/A has to take MY child away from me. Does she know the medical history of my child? I hope the airline pays out big for this and it NEVER happenes again. I probably would have been arrested for assault if ANYONE on an airplane tried to take away my child.
