Damages phase of TWA DFR lawsuit is set for 17 Mar 14. From DALPA's announcement:

But ALPA has never assessed its members to pay for damages arising from litigation, and we have no reason to think this time will be different.
Can you say "wiggle room?"

You seem as if you would be happy if dALPA were to be assessed damages. Sad....

I see the DALPA secret police is back up and running.

If DALPA is going to produce a document from the MEC entitled "True Headings", the authors should sign it. Many of us know it's Mr. Pinho and the other members of the secret police, but they should still sign their names.

Hell no, I would not be. I want my bargaining agent to succeed at the negotiating table and in court.

I'd love to hear ALPA say "there is absolutely no chance that any member will ever face an assessment, regardless of the outcome of the damages phase."

Such a statement would be very welcome to all of us, and it would be a huge blow to the DPA. And ALPA knows that.

If ALPA could have made such a statement, they would have. But they didn't.

Quick question. Is the DPA leadership ever going to call on it's ""membership" to respect the uniform at DAL or are they going to allow their "members" to continually flaunt the fact that they have no respect for it? Just asking, because I think it is an important point in earning respect that they demand.....

That's one point I agree on. The guy you're talking about needs to go fly the line a while. A lot of guys need to fly the line more.

I think some of the guys that are the most upset at the guys not flying the line, are upset because they are stuck flying, like real pilots. They used to be the guys not flying the line, and now they want to get back in. Sucks to be them.

I think it's even more true for the DPA. I think it was Hitme that showed the (ultra-generous) FPL that they were setting up, over there. Very juicy stuff.

I say: term limits.
