No talk about religious prejudice would be complete without a view of the other side.
Here is a simple test.
Apply for a tourist visa to Saudi Arabia, Iran or any other ME Islamic country. If you get that Visa, and that is a very big if, start construction of a christian church in the country. You will then discover the level of tolerance in these countries.
By contrast one may easily find Mosques in EVERY major US city.
There is no comparison, and to scold the US on this is blatant propoganda by the media supporting Islamic jihad.

SO, exactly what does a terrorist look like? Does he lok like Osma Bin Laden or Timothy McVeigh.I am not calling anyone a racist. I am an AMerican in case you didnt get that.

I said that WHen something tragic occurs instead of looking at everyone as suspect, We (Americans) focus on people thta are different. We all do it. I do it. ITs just the great American way

Nonsense. Focusing on people who are different isn't a trait exclusive to Americans. Every group of people throughout history has shared it--even those without any discernable difference to an outside observer. Norwegians dislike the Swedes. Hutus hate the Tutsis.
From an American's standpoint, native Greeks and Italians are different, but we're not focusing on them. We should focus on those who ethnically and religiously fit the profile of those who have perpetrated 99% of terrorist acts against the West over the past 25 years. Timothy McVeigh is an anomaly. You lose credibility when using anomalies to prove a point.

He may not have heard of the Balfour Declaration or the Palestinian exodus, but that's beside the point. He's not talking about history. He's talking about current events. Currently, Arab and South Asian Muslims are responsible for virtually all terrorist attacks against the West.

I'm sorry... you don't treat people without morals, or scruples with respect... Not until they learn to respect others. The leaders of Iran, Syria, and Lebanon have demonstrated the true definintion of intolerance against others that are not of their faith. These leaders, along with their upstanding citizens continue to demonstrate their deprave and indifference to human life. For my dough the majority of the UN are no different from these pigs. It's time to put political correctness aside and take what ever measures necessary to protect our interests.

This type of racial profiling hasn't just been a problem in the United States, as you saw from that article the problem is very prevalent in Europe. Also, in Australia where I'm from, about a year ago, a flight attendant for Qantas ordered the total and immediate evacuation of the aircraft. Everybody off, NOW...
What was the urgent and life threatening stimulus which triggered her reaction? Two middle-eastern men wearing robes and speaking Arabic. WWHHOOOOPS. Luckily she didn't speak for the whole of QANTAS and shortly afterward the CEO of the airline held a press conference in an attempt to reassure the arab world that they indeed wanted their business and that the actions of one woman with three braincells did not reflect the general feeling of the company.
COME ONN people, you can't not let people fly and have access to transportation just because they happen to look a little different and speak a different language to you. What are we back in the dark ages? What's next?? Muslim children of middle-eastern origin being turned away from public elementary schools because they happen to be different??

I'm not saying that the whole situation doesn't scare and worry me. It does. But there's no use stereotyping people and being prejudiced against the WHOLE demographic of arab people. This fight against evil and terrorism is only going to have a chance of succeeding if we fight for inclusion and equality rather than creating division and disharmony.

This guy is a pilot, on the senority list, and is in CASS. This could have been handled better.
