My old college roommate works for a company called People Finders. I had him do a background check on me. Nothing of significance in the report I received, it put my mind at ease.
I think it's @ $40, might be worth it if you have any doubts.

So has anyone done a background check on themselves, and where did you go to do it? Not too concerned except I don't want something that I didn't expect to be on there.
Example: Years ago outside of a bar some guy suckerpunched me on the street (I never said anything to him, and still to this day I don't know who it was). I tackled him, got on top of him and started beating him. Cop came over and thought I was the one who started it. I was pulled off, got arrested while the other guy ran away. Went in front of the judge the next day and was found innocent (doorgirl outside of the bar saw the whole thing and testified in my behalf). I figured the whole thing is tossed, but I don't want an airline to find out I didn't disclose this. If I could run a background check on myself to see what I do and do not have to talk about it would save a lot of headaches.

Regarding the original question, I just put myself into the shoes of the folks doing my background check on behalf of JetBlue. I sent off for a copy of all FAA paperwork with regards to my certificates and medicals to see exactly what JB would see when they requested them. Also presented myself to the state highway patrol to be fingerprinted and have a criminal history check done. Nothing there, but it was easy and if there had been some sort of a mistake I was eager to catch it early. Slightly paranoid, but I didn't want any surprises or to stress about it. Good luck to everyone in their career pursuits.

I would disclose it. They may phrase the question in these terms. "Have you EVER been arrested?" If you say no, it's lying, you say yes, you disclose why and the outcome. It will be no big deal. Had a friend recently go through and disclosed an issue involving a misdemeanor arrest. He was hired here by the way. He came clean and owned up to the mistakes he had made. They like that.
Regardless of wether it was expunged or not, found guilty or innocent, these things have a way of working themselves to the top. Way too many people thought their records were expunged when they might have been although they appeared later.
They aren't going to care about this. Now, if you tell them you tackled and beat the guy, it may not look so great. I would tend to phrase it as, "I was attacked for no reason and defended myself. In the course of defending myself the police arrived and arrested me thinking I was the attacker. I was subsequently found not guilty when a waitress came forward to corroborate my side of the story."
Just my two cents.
Whiskey.

Now that's what I call the jetBlue experience!!!! ;-)
Be honest...it always works better in the end!

Thanks everyone for their input. Im going to get going on the records my next block of days off. I'll disclose it, but its such a stupid thing that happened its almost embarrassing. Maybe next time I should just have him keep beating me while I'm screaming "I WANNA GO TO JETBLUE!!!!"

So glad I found this thread...I interviewed at JB last month and was happy to get the Phase 2 email, but also found the wording very ominous despite my being very honest in the exit interview. I'm always watching the phone for a call from 718, and hoping not to get any mail.
Of course check ride busts are a hot topic, but how do they handle 3 busts, all of which were disclosed? 2 were flight school, one was regrettably 121, but not my type ride.
How long does it typically take from the date of the Phase 2 email until people are getting called for classes?

I wouldn't worry about flight school type stuff. From the impression I get, it's more about 121 failures more than anything. Good luck

For me, that's the $64,000 question. Today was 8 weeks from my initial interview and Saturday will be 8 weeks from receiving the Phase 2 e-mail. Aside from the Phase 2 e-mail, I've not heard one peep from JetBlue. I know many others that received conditional offers of employment and I have yet to get a call for a class date. Now, they're calling guys from the 9/14 interview (according to this board), so I have no idea.
