Do you recommend I call the people department? Don't want to mess up on this opportunity.

That, I'm not 100% sure of. Maybe shoot them a quick e-mail?

No. You are fully disclosed. They are asking for anything they should know that you have not already disclosed to them on the application. I do not recommend calling them. They are very busy.

The two week mark for that group is two days from today. I am confused. Are you sure you don't mean the 8/25 group?

Chesapeake - Over the past year or so, the time from interview date to sitting in class on Day 1 has fluctuated from 1 month to about 4 months (maybe even more). The average person seems to fall into the range of 2 to 3 months between when they interview and when they start class. 1 month is the absolute minimum I've head of...that was interview, phase 2 notified within a week, class date offered within the next week, 2 weeks notice to employer ----> in class one month after interview. I agree on the 3 failures, that if it were 2 or 3 Part 121 failures, then it would present a much greater problem. Only 1 was a 121 failure and you've been open an honest with jB, you can't do much more than that. As for the ominous wording in the Phase 2 email, I think jB just doesn't want you making false assumptions about "having an official job offer" when they haven't even looked into your background and only know you based on what you've typed on the computer and told them in about an hour worth of face time.

dhc8fo - On another thread, someone stated that 2 friends who interviewed on Sept. 14th had been called for the Nov. 2nd class.

EMBFlyer - That's a tough one. If they haven't called people yet for the Nov. 16th class, they will probably have to by next Wed., as most people need to give 2 weeks notice to their employers. If it were me (just my opinion, not telling you what to do), I'd give it until that time and see if you are called for class. If not called, that's when I'd get serious about a friendly, well thought out call to the appropriate person to try to figure out where you stand in the mix. Again, just my opinion, but I don't think jB is going to begrudge you for politely asking. Hey, you’re “caring” value is showing, right?

Thanks. Yesterday was 8 weeks from my interview and Saturday will be 8 weeks from the Phase 2 e-mail. I was going to try to open dialogue (via e-mail) on Friday if I haven't heard anything by then. I just really want it and I'm with you, I think it would show I care. I, personally, know of 3 that got the "bad" letter from Phase 2 at the beginning of October. I wasn't one of them, so I have to assume I'm still in the running.

Nov 2nd is next Wed. Anyone wanting to give two weeks notice before they accept that class is well past the mark. I was referring to guys offered the Nov 2nd class date were called almost exactly 2 weeks prior to that date.

Did they give any reasons as to why they got said letter? I'm terrified of seeing it in the mail even though I have nothing on my driving record or checkride failures.
