L.A. - while I neither agree or disagree with your statement, options are not considered part of my compensation package. Please don't group me in your category. Thanks.
Neither do I however Jetblue does.
LA...according to MIT?? Come on seriously?? Truthfully I could care less about what the stockholders/management people award to themselves. They put up millions of dollars to start this airline. Go start your own airline then you can award yourself millions of stock options. That's why they did it!! To get richer!! It's not about the pilots, flight attendants, rampers, agents, etc. It's about them taking a risk and getting rewarded for it. When will you people realize that. As long as they treat me fairly, compensate me fairly and hopefully give me a place to work until I retire that's all I can ask for. I work for them, they don't work for me. If I get to a point that I don't like it then I will leave. Please tell me, what is fair wages and benefits for this job?? To work half a month and make over 6 figures seems pretty damn good to me. Let's be truthful, we aren't that special and most anyone can do this job. Yes it's skilled labor but anyone with the money can go out and get the skills. I don't think we are the most productive, but I think we are better than average. We aren't the highest paid but I think we are at least average or above average. You can work as little as 70 hours or as much as 100 hours and depending on the trip 150+ hours per month. No where else can you do this. Premium pay over 78 hours, full credit for DH, etc. It's more than just what the hourly pay scale says. I contribute 5% to my 401K, JB gives me 5% match plus another 5% profit sharing bonus for a total of 10%. How much more do you expect? Please tell me how we are underpaid in comparison to everyone else. Almost everyone else you want to compare us to has given up work rules, took paycuts, retirement hits, furloughed, downsized, etc.
Sooo........any future class updates? 2 in Jan and 2 in Feb the latest?
I heard from an unreliable source who just came from recurrent that the projected hiring for 2012 will be around 150 pilots. Again, don't know how reliable that is but probably realistic.

Good news! Thx WR.
Overheard a CP giving someone an update that 150 new hires is the plan right now for 2012, but could change. Also remarked that the people in Phase 2 pool should fill classes through about June 2012.
For a brief moment I thought I was reading bluepilots.
